Dreams, imagination, and passion have always been the wings and the engine that have driven the company Alicia Música and its founder Alicia Rodríguez. Music is among her greatest inspirations.
Alicia started her career as a journalist, with a postgraduate degree in music and film criticism. She was the director of the weekly cultural magazine Guía del Ocio Barcelona and a founding member of the agency Musa Comunica, which eventually became Alicia Música. She has worked in record promotion (Houston Party Records, Naïve Records) and contributed to some of Spain's leading music magazines (Ruta 66, Rockdelux, Mondosonoro, Neo2, AB, Go Mag, Popular 1, World Music), newspaper magazines (Avui's Rock n’Sound), newspapers (El Periódico de Catalunya), leisure magazines (Showpress) and other publications (Playboy). She has also worked in production and communication for many music festivals (Isladencanta, Primavera Sound, Sónar, SOS Festival) and cultural exhibitions (David Bowie Is).
As a journalist, she has contributed to several radio stations (Ràdio 4, Ràdio Gràcia, Gramenet Ràdio), has been a writer for Spain's top TV late-night show 'Buenafuente' for El Terrat and Antena 3 Televisión and has presented 'Sesiones Movistar+' on the nationwide Movistar Xtra TV channel. She has also been a production assistant in the 'Later With Jools Holland'/'Taratata'-styled TV show 'La Hora Musa' and an artist coordinator in the New Year's Eve gala of leading music show 'Cachitos', both on national TV network La 2 de TVE. In the area of internet, she worked for the world music and pop-rock divisions of Doctor Music Networks, and collaborated in the documentary department of the Norwegian radio-television network NRK-Aktivum. In addition to managing her agency, she also writes for the legendary rock magazine Ruta 66. As a music PR expert and publicist, Alicia has worked with some of Spain's top artists (Kiko Veneno, Elefantes, Los Deltonos, La Habitación Roja, and Izal, to name a few) and has promoted tours by many international acts (Van Morrison, Simple Plan, The Jayhawks, Jackson Browne, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Glenn Hughes, The Cat Empire, The Waterboys, Wilko Johnson, Lucinda Williams and many more).
She wrote 'Fénix', a poetry book published by 66 RPM.
